Ban-T

Acid Based Cleaner for Tannin Removal Systems
Restores and maintains performance of cation/anion exchange systems
by removing tannin, iron and scale deposits from mixed resin. It is also a multi-purpose cleaner used to remove stains resulting from lime, iron and other water impurities:

• Does not harm anion resin like phosphoric acid cleaners.
• Creates lower pH for more effective removal of scale in backwash line.
  (Calcium carbonate scale forms in backwash line when mixed resin [cation/anion] systems are regenerated with sodium or potassium chloride.)
• Removes tannin and iron fouling, and dissolves scale.
• Packaged to provide exact amount for four bags of salt.
  

For Water Softener / Tannin Removal System Cleaning:

• Sprinkle Ban-T directly on salt while filling brine tank.
• Mix 2-lb Bottle of Ban-T with four 40-lb bags of salt. (1/2-lb Ban-T per 40-lb bag of salt), or
  mix per manufacturer’s recommendation for special equipment.
• Ban-T will clean your system with each regeneration and maintain original removal capacity.
  

For Ultraviolet (UV) Water Systems

• Follow the cleaning instructions that came with the UV system.
• Clean the quartz sleeve at the first sign of mineral build up.
• Follow the directions below for stain and lime removal.
• Do not touch the sleeve with bare fingers, as skin oil will effect performance.
  

For Dishwashers

• Pour 4 tablespoons into main soap well of an empty dishwasher.
• Run dishwasher through regular wash cycle while empty,
• Dishwasher will be sparkling clean!
  – for heavily stained dishwashers, a second application may be necessary.
  – for spotted silver, glassware and plastic, load into clean dishwasher and repeat directions above.
  

For Washing Machines

• Fill empty tub full of hot water.
• Add 1/2 cup of Ban-T.
• Set wash cycle for maximum time and run through complete cycle.
• Iron and Tannin stains will disappear!
  

For Stain and Lime removal

• Mix 1 tablespoon of cleaner in a 16 oz. spray bottle full of warm water.
  - Alternatively, add 4 tablespoons per gallon of warm water
• Spray surface or wipe surface with a fully wet sponge. Allow cleaning solution to sit for up to
  15 to 20 minutes before wiping.
• The stains will disappear!
  - for extra heavy lime scale or rust deposits, Ban-T will loosen the deposits, allowing them to be removed by additional scrubbing with a dry cloth or brush.
  - for best results, soak the item in solution for 30 minutes prior to scrubbing
  

CAUTION: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
Ban-T contains organic acids, which may cause irritation to eyes or sensitive skin. Rubber gloves should be worn while using. In case of eye contact, flush with cold water for 15 minutes. DO NOT SWALLOW. Do not mix Ban-T with bleach or any other cleaners, including dishwasher & laundry detergent.
